Nichole + Adam : A World Food Prize Micro-Wedding
I haven’t taken on weddings since December of 2020 and all of a sudden, some opportunities have come my way and I couldn’t be happier to share in others’ joy as they start their lives together! It’s even more special when I’ve already served this family with my camera and I get to watch their family expand.
Nichole and Adam grew up together: Nichole was friends with his sister mores and after high school, they went their separate ways. They each had their own families and bumped into each other at an event where other high school friends gathered. Something sparked and they stayed in touch. Fast forward to February when Nichole texted me about photographing their micro-wedding at the end of that week(!). Logistics for everyone involved actually worked out better for mid-March, which helped our lighting and temperature situation (though it was still uncomfortably cold!).
We met downtown at the World Food Prize and used the beautiful building as a wind-buffer and a beautiful architectural element for composition in their images. I am thrilled Nichole asked me to be a part of this special occasion and you’ll get to see them again this summer when I photograph her daughter, Maddy’s, senior photos!
Once Adam & his boys arrived, we gathered everyone together for this newly formed family:
To buffer us from the bitter wind, we used the east side of the World Food Prize and were so thankful! The architecture is just stunning.
Nichole + Adam: Thank you so much for having me out to capture the start of your lives together! What an honor and I wish you safe travels to and from your “Family Moon” as your families integrate into one.
