Blayke : Class of 2025

I’ve had the pleasure of teaching Blayke through middle school band and now all the way through Photo 2. She is the epitome of a girl trombone player: quite comfortable around all the boys, keeping them in line, and wearing a dress only when it’s absolutely required. :) So, imagine my pleasant surprise when she ventures into a dress for her senior photos!! She has no idea just how lovely of a young lady she is, both inside and out!

She wanted to start at the State Fairgrounds as they are quite special to her family. Her Jeep Wrangler made an appearance and I couldn’t have been more excited to incorporate it (and her dress) into the images. She is also in the Police Cadet Academy so that uniform was our starting point as well.

As if I couldn’t have been more excited for the start of our session, I loved the compositions we could create with the Glider Ride at the top of the Fairgrounds hill. Lead Lines & Rule of Thirds, anyone?

We headed over to another favorite spot for Blayke that she and her Grandpa would play through tunnels of the garden area maintained by expert Iowa gardeners….and the most prized spot was outside the Horse Barn where their family has bricks laid with their names that you’ll see here in a minute….

We headed to another favorite spot, this time for Blayke and her Dad. Waterworks’ bridge. And while this bridge has been photographed a gazillion times, I attempted to make it different than what I’d ever seen done before.

We ended our time at Norwalk’s Stadium to highlight her musicianship, photography, track, and softball interests. I’ve been itching to show you these images since I fired the shutter, so I hope you’ve enjoyed them!

Blayke, Brandi, Kyle & Jim,

Thank you so much for entrusting this part of your senior year to me! I love where we got to photograph and that each spot was meaningful in a very special way to everyone in attendance. Thank you for raising a really amazing young lady - I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her!

All the best,

Carrie
