Lucy : Adler Planetarium - Chicago Branding Shoot

Lucy is the ultimate business owner. We chatted through ideas for her branding shoot during our few-day-long family reunion in St. Louis and we rendez-vous-ed in Chicago a few days later. She hadn’t written anything down from our conversations and yet brought ALL that we needed & had talked about AND MORE! I was thoroughly impressed and thankful for her organization and vision for our time together. I keep saying to myself, “A branding shoot is like a senior shoot for adults with a business vision.” Lucy is so easy to talk to, her session felt like hanging out with a good friend and I got to know my cousin-in-law on a whole new level!

We parked along the curb leading up to the Adler Planetarium and used all of the space around us until the sun went down. It was an absolutely perfect, gloomy evening! And if you find yourself in need of any insurance coverage, Lucy is your gal @insuremelucy with State Farm!

Let me explain. Lucy’s grandparents worked a cattle farm in Iowa and the cousins would gather there regularly, so when Grandpa Brogla passed away, Lucy vied for the famous farm sign that mentions not only her beloved grandpa, but the “son” is her dad! When you’re creating a branding session, my approach is to share about who you are as a person so that your social media followers learn about the person behind the business, thereby creating a Trusted Advisor. Customers are so much more likely to purchase from a business they know and trust (and therefore want to support), so we included this beloved sign as an homage to Lucy’s heritage and family.

And then, we hit the “beach” by the Adler!

Something new I learned about Lucy: she’s a Pisces and loves looking at constellations. Adler was the perfect backdrop for our time to highlight that part of her life and we loved the message on the side of the Adler: “Space for everyone.” There is room for everyone in Lucy’s insurance coverage offerings!

We finished with a few of the things Lucy does to relax and refresh her mind. When you are insured, you have peace of mind and Lucy wanted to highlight what that peace can feel like. For her, it’s watercolor painting on canvas and enjoying being by the water-any body of water will do!

Lucy,

It was such a pleasure working with you and getting to know you more! Why in the world did it take 16 years to get to know these fun things about you?! Thank you for trusting me with a small part of your business and I wish you all the successes in the world. I don’t say “luck” because you don’t need “luck”, you hustle your heart out for your clients and there isn’t any aspect of luck to that work ethic.

Let’s do this again!
