Angie + Alex : Pella Family Session

I’m still pinching myself that I got to photograph this dear family. There are no words that would do this night justice! You may recognize Max from his senior shoot last summer. We squeaked this family session in just days prior to Max heading off to UNI to start his freshman year. We also followed this family session with a senior shoot for Emi who is a member of the Class of 2022. And we finished the night on a boat. On Lake Red Rock. With a gorgeous sunset. With the best of company. (You’ll see Emi’s photos here soon!) (PS this was also my first official shoot with my mirrorless camera! I was freaking out inside!)

Please enjoy your scroll:

We had to use The Green Wall when I saw Angie’s outfit for the evening. While it may have proven tricky with some green casts on their skin, it was well worth it when these gentlemen lined up so naturally looking their suave debonair selves…Then, for Angie with her brood, she cracks me up. When we had gotten all lined up, she opened her arms out wide and said, “Look at all that I have created!” lol :) She’s such a calming presence around me, that to see her crack jokes with some sass was hilarious. It can’t be stated enough that this evening was a pure joy for me.

Alex & Angie-Your family is such a soft place to land in what’s been a really challenging year for our family. Thank you so much for the way you’ve served & helped us while giving our children great experiences with you (they won’t stop raving about your s’mores & want to learn how to wake board with Emi!) Thank you for raising amazing humans-we are so glad ALL of you are in our lives.

Best wishes for everything this school year!

Carrie
