Drew : Class of 2018

Drew is a part of quite possibly the best trombone section I've ever taught. Their team is a deep one (think Kobe and Shaq multiplied for the Lakers). So when I saw him with a tuba in hand second semester of his freshman year, I inwardly shed a tear, but totally understood. Drew is a strong musician and can succeed at anything he puts his mind to. Our high school band needed more tubas, so Drew stepped up and took on the challenge.

At the last minute, I changed the start time to his senior session because we were on the cusp of Daylight Savings time change, and boy, was that the best decision I made that weekend!! The sun cooperated beautifully and we had an awesome sunrise to greet us this particular morning!

Drew was flexible, yet knew what he wanted. He knew the outfit he wanted with the backdrops he requested and he nailed each one. Our next stop was "nature" and along the side of the highway, we stopped where I saw great trees and fall color in the backdrop, Drew did a a quick shirt change and we went "off roading".

Last couple stops was a quick shirt change and we had to bring out where his love of music began-the trombone.

A last few without any instruments...

Drew: You're such a rockstar and a dear heart to boot! Thank you so much for being such a cheerleader of my business and trusting me with this part of your life. I pray blessings on your future and that music plays even just a small role in it. I know you will take the lessons learned in the band room and apply them no matter what you decide to pursue.

You're awesome and I'll miss you & your group of T-bones greatly!
