Chrissy + Marc

I've worked alongside her for years and I refer to Chrissy as my "poser", always helping me with our littlest players as we took their team photos. Little did I know that she had caught the eye of a fellow volunteer.

Fast forward to their wedding day and my heart was caught by their guests. As I watched the people that Chrissy and Marc had surrounded themselves with, miracle after miracle walked by as they took their seats. People who had seen God move in BIG ways in their lives this year-lucky to be alive, fortunate to be ushering in new life, to name a few. It's no small feat when two people find each other and start Forever together, and it made me see the joining of two lives as a miracle in itself, too. God has moved in big ways for Chrissy and Marc and I was honored to play a part in their day.

Chrissy + Marc opted for a First Look and the weather cooperated beautifully. We've had a warmer Fall and the leaves on the trees made for a lovely backdrop for a stunning bride to approach her groom:

Two amazing people not only have wonderful people in their audience of the ceremony, but the cast and crew of their bridal party were an absolute joy to hang out with and photograph. You know a wedding day is going to be fantastic when the best man and all groomsmen make sure we are running on time to get the party started!

This is where I give mad props to my second shooter so that we can get these special moments from two angles. The minutes before walking down the aisle can be some of the most precious between a father and daughter as can the giving away of the bride and it truly adds to the day to have a photographer at each spot:

Chrissy & Marc's reception was beautifully done at the West Des Moines Marriott where Marriott's managers, Jack, Kelsey and their crew worked so hard to make the event perfect for Chrissy & Marc.

Chrissy & Marc: You had a truly beautiful day and I couldn't have been more honored to document it for you. I'm sure you had a fabulous time in Hawaii as a last respite before Iowa winter sets in! I pray God's blessings on your marriage and many, many years catching each others' eye. ;)

Blessings,

Carrie
