Elizabeth + Sam

The bridesmaids were a flurry of activity, ensuring that Elizabeth's needs were being met while they readied themselves as well. Sam was on the upstairs level of the church in a room above Elizabeth, where his dad made sure the tie was on straight, the jacket was dusted off and suspenders untangled. Some have a natural penchant for organization and planning well, both Elizabeth and Sam, as actuaries, may have a higher chance to have that bent also. Their day flowed effortlessly from one amazing moment to the next and I couldn't have been happier documenting it.

After a few details, Elizabeth and Sam saw each other for the First Look that was absolutely perfect....

A girl after my own heart...hydrangeas!

After the family and bridal party portraits were complete, we explored the church a little longer for a few extra opportunities like this one.

Sam & Elizabeth had a beautiful ceremony including a few things I'd never seen done before. They had each of their moms be their witnesses to sign the marriage certificate and instead of a Unity Candle, their moms handed the couple nautical rope to tie a Unity Knot. It was so special!

After the ceremony, we headed to their alma mater, home of Drake's Bulldogs, and I love the images we captured outside Aliber Hall- the business building where they first met.

Lastly, I love highlighting all the details of a couple's day because I know that a lot of thought goes into each and every one:

Sam + Elizabeth: Thank you so much for the honor of documenting your day! I had a wonderful time getting to know your families and witnessing such a special occasion in your lives. Many blessings to you both and I hope you were able to greatly enjoy Iceland on your honeymoon!!

Much love,

Carrie
