Behind The Scenes
While I look over the photos from the 2013 season, it hits me like a mack-truck anew: I love what I do and I love the people I get to interact with while I do it. That thought is always immediately coupled with: I'm definitely not doing this on my own. From second shooters that help a wedding day run smoothly, to my husband providing support on shoots (and feed me once we get home) while I'm 36 weeks pregnant last May...people have asked me how I did it and my response has been: not on my own!
Here's a peek into some behind the scenes footage from last year's photo sessions:
It really can be summed up in a few categories. First, the bribery/benefits of chewpieces:
lots of parent "spotting" in case of instability:
keeping kiddos warm in early May, spring weather:
Gerard as my prop assistant/smile producer:
Faith as back-up entertainer:
Maternity leave:
Aaaand, my first wedding back:
I'm sure I was pretty coherent here, but Ashley is looking at me like I'm crazy...at 8 weeks post partum, I guess it's possible!
This post is brought to you by the people I've leaned on in the past year to make sessions happen:
-my outstanding clients
-Austin & Jane (my second shooters)
-Faith & Colby (my "apprentices")
-my better half: Gerard
"Thank you" doesn't even begin to cover it, but seriously: THANK YOU.
